In 2015, endorsing the initiative of potato breeders, Grimme organized the first potato field day. The event aims at supplying farmers with the latest information on innovations and new potato varieties. This year’s festival witnessed the record number of participants, around a thousand and five hundred.  Among them there were not only potato growers from entire Russia and abroad, but also producers of other vegetables, who came to broaden their professional knowledge.

All the attendees of Potato Russia 2019 had an opportunity to see test plots with a number of potato varieties and different crop protection agents applied. But the demonstration of Grimme machinery became the highlight of the day. The invited farmers could appreciate the new 4 row self-propelled potato harvester VARITRON 470. The machine is powered by a 435 hp engine, equipped with rubber tracks and a 7-tonne Nonstop Bunker. The self-propelled harvesters of the Varitron series give a high variability with several options of different separators and high performance. The comfortable cab allows the driver to have a clear view on the intake unit and main webs.
