Vaderstad Seed Hawk Stubble Airseeders

Vendor:

Vaderstad

Seed Hawk Seed Drills represent a new concept of airseeders, developed jointly by the Swedish company Vaderstad and the Canadian factory Seed Hawk.

The new generation of wide-cut airseeders is constructed on a rigid frame. The frame is fixed at one height for work and transport. Each chisel coulter is equipped with an individual hydraulic cylinder and a packer wheel, ideally following the soil contours with a range of 40 cm.

Packer wheels equally spaced over the working width redistribute a part of the hopper’s weight on themselves. At turning, the seed drill fully follows the tractor. The seed unit is valued for its high calibration rate and ability to sow most types of crop, from rape to pulses.

The working widths of Seed Hawk range from 6, 8, 12, 18, to 24 m.
The hopper of the seed drill is designed for simultaneous seed and fertiliser placement. The drilling speed of the machine is appr. 8–10 km/h. Seed Hawk Seed Drills work with 25 cm row spacing, which guarantees optimal distribution of residue over the surface, boosts the speed of sowing and preserves essential soil moisture without disturbing the soil structure.
